Beastly details
I often find that in older town centres, where the ground level has been gutted to provide modern shopfronts, it pays to look up; there's often beautiful architecture and ornamentation still to be seen above street level.
I was in Elgin this morning. This is a details from a frieze above the doorway of what is now Starbucks in the High Street. I have no idea what the building was in the past.
