visited La Rochelle today then took a detour along the Gironde Estuary . Found a lovely village with a church right on the coast. Have included some extras - the church and the view looking the other way along the coast. Didn't leave until about 9pm and had another 5 1/2 hrs to drive! Eventually arrived in Thuir at about 3am!
