New Bird Feeding Station
We decided a while ago that we needed a second feeding station to place outside one of the South-facing kitchen windows; the other one is visible from the West-facing window. They have changed the design slightly, which is an improvement on the previous feeder. We also replaced the broken (by the deer) squirrel baffle on the original feeder and added one to this feeder. Before locating this new feeder, my husband removed a shrub that has been killed by ivy, which was where some feeders were placed in the past.
The picture today is of the empty feeding station. One female Chaffinch has investigated it and one Magpie landed on it. They will soon get used to it, but the terrain now looks different as the shrub has been removed and this structure has been put in its place.
