Glen Banvie

Walking the Banvie Trail; a circular walk from Glen Tilt car park near Blair Atholl.

This spot, looking north from Glen Banvie Wood towards Glen Bruar, is one my favourites in all Perthshire. The sparse trees on the edge of the wood provide shelter without restricting the view. And from here it would be possible to walk across wild moorland all the way to Kingussie; the track in the distance is heading off to join the romantic-sounding Minigaig.
