Waiting for lunch

Today, S and I joined good friends for lunch in a cafe/restaurant on Scenic Drive, in the Waitakeres. His guitar teacher was providing the musical accompaniment to the food and wine, and he wanted us to join them in supporting his teacher. A lovely selection of classical and other guitar pieces played on acoustic guitar without amplification. Allowed us to listen, or to talk without feeling we had to shout.

While waiting to make our orders I was attracted by the play of the sunlight through the clouds onto the city and harbour below us. As I got ready to take my photo, a kahu (Australasian harrier hawk) came into view, and I changed my focus and angle to record it, as it also awaited a midday meal.
