Hard working dog

I've been visiting my mom same as usual, but I keep forgetting to take the camera. In need of an image, I just took this shot of LS standing under the table, a pose he strikes often at Silverado. Under chairs, under my mom's bed, under tables. He comes out to lick hands and find crumbs.

Today I visited at bingo time so sat for a few rounds of that, then trivia, and then we did some laps around the courtyard. I think she was fine with not going out for a walk because it's so hot (hot for us, anyway), and there was none of the "you're not putting me in there" at parting. So it was quite pleasant.

Longshanks has also been busy visiting with my dad and his wife, Alice, who are visiting, and he did kid duty yesterday, which meant lots of ball chasing, when we met up with a daughter and four grandkids of my brother. (Long story.)

Dog days of summer are upon us--but I hope not in the sense of bringing catastrophe.
