Shadow shapes of cabbage tree,
Raindrops sprinkled on.


Within the next 12 hours there will be two huge international  sporting contests featuring New Zealand. I must confess to feeling a mixture of excitement and anxiety about the possible results.

Firstly our rugby team, the All Blacks, play the British and Irish Lions. They only come here once every 12 years so it is a much anticipated tour in our rugby-mad country. That game is tonight and will be very interesting.
Then early tomorrow morning it is the next round of races of the America's Cup yachting in Bermuda. USA are the defenders and they make all the rules. It will be an amazing achievement if our boys can get a win here but I have my fingers [and toes ] crossed......
