A squirrel's rest
This was taken from the upstairs bathroom window. Bob( he has only a third of his lovely tail intact) was resting about 15 feet up, on top of the ancient pear tree. The upper portion of the tree, my childhood favorite, was listing over our roof and in pretty rough shape. We had to remove a damaged tree beside it and decided to have the tree surgeons lop off the top of the pear tree. Since then it has leafed out nicely, but looks rather strange, but apparently it is quite a suitable resting spot for small birds and beasts.
I had a very dear old friend for lunch on her way to her vacation on the Cape from her home in Freeport Maine. We caught up on all the news and discussed the state of our political chaos. We haven't seen her since just before Christmas so it was great to be together. Unfortunately, T had to work, but we'll try to get up to Freeport in the fall.
For the Record,
This day came in hot and humid.
All hands disgusted with the Tax Cut for the 1%, I mean the Health Bill the GOP is trying to kill the sick, the poor and the aged with.
I'm also suffering from a very sore arm from a pneumonia booster shot I had at my yearly physical yesterday. One of the worst sore arm reactions I've had, my whole shoulder hurts now.
Weather looks sketchy for Hanover Day in the morning. The Fairy Houses are from 10-1, we'll see if we have to cancel. I'll be already for next year if that is the case!
Here are some rabbit shots I took yesterday afternoon when I was sharing our patio with one fond of apples I love her rabbit stare, I would have liked to use it as my blip today.
