start them early

Is croquet an Olympic sport? Well, if it is, we are starting R off early on her career.
I've been enjoying a "birthday weekend" and today's treat was a visit to Lacock Abbey near Chippenham with BobWinchester, who is my brother in law, and the rest of that part of the family as well as my husband, daughter and granddaughter. If you follow the link to Bob's page you'll see the wonderful batik flags they have in the garden, I might have blipped them if he hadn't got there first!
Laccock has an interesting connection with photography through Fox Talbot who lived there. It's currently got an exhibition of photos by Basil Pao, who travelled with Michael Palin. AND they filmed some of the first Harry Potter film there!
Recommended for a visit, even if it isn't your birthday.
