FROM A GOOGLING TROLL

I love the subtle coloring of the Pink-sided Juncos.
Who hang out beneath our feeders,
Busily pecking along the ground.
Cleaning up after the finches.

They rarely land on or near the feeders,
Preferring to hang out near rocks or anything,
That casts a shadow over them.

My previous images were 'noisy', and well, not so good.
Today, however, this stunner landed on the shepherd's hook.

NOW, TO THE GOOGLING TROLL
Another reason I'm happy with this image.

Focusing my Canon 7D has suddenly become difficult.
Was it: my glasses, my diopter, or a bad set of lenses?.
To say this frustrated me, well, ask my husband..

I compensated by shooting multiple images.

Over the last few weeks, not every day, of course.
I've been googling, ad-nauseam, for solutions.
Nothing. Nada, Zip. Zilch.

Today, alone in the house,
Everyone's playing golf, but broken-toe girl.
I gave it one more shot.

Score.
A simple solution came from the faceless Max,
Dispensing sage advice from a Canon Forum.
He said,"Make the lens, crazy out of focus.
Then adjust the diopter until image focuses.
Oh, Max, my savior.
Today, no sharpening adjustment was needed.
Thank you Max.
Wherever you are.
