The lily corner of the garden

Today I spent the day in the garden cutting through the undergrowth and pruning shrubs yet only a year ago today I was in intensive care after having open heart surgery. The miracles of modern medicine and I am still so grateful to the Cardiac team at Hammersmith Hospital for giving me that new aortic valve.
