Etoile Violette...

My favourite clematis at this time in the summer.
I love how it's velvety, crumpled petals remind me of crepe paper.
When l like something, l really like it: so even though my garden is small, l have three of them scrambling and climbing through other fauna.
It's not one of those prima donna flowers that hit you in the eye and clamours for the spotlight, just part of the Corps de Ballet, working hard and doing its job to contribute to the overall performance of my garden.
Just gently beautiful .
