I made pancakes for breakfast which we ate with lots of fruit and some golden syrup we found in a cupboard.
After a slightly more leisurely morning than yesterday we caught the train to Shanklin. Meandered down to the beach and went for a swim, nearly traumatised a GCSE Geography field trip by picking an awkward time to change clothes.
It was midday by the time we set off again, so stopped at the top of the cliff for cream teas. The walk to Ventnor took longer than we expected but was lovely - lots of wooded areas, a friendly dog called Hovis and some amazing sea views. By the time we got to Ventnor beach we were boiling and fully appreciated our swim - we managed to swim in the sea in 5 different towns in 3 days, not bad!
Ice creams which melted too quickly, then the bus back to Ryde. We had a picnic dinner on the harbour at sunset with lots of Pimms to use up the leftover fruit.
