Today's the day ........................ to turn out fine

It was all a bit damp and cloudy this morning when we woke up - but by this afternoon, things had brightened up considerably.  The sky cleared, the sun shone - and it got quite warm again.

Not as warm as they've been having down south - obviously.  They've been having record-breaking temperatures in a June that has been the warmest since 1976.  We've heard about little else.  But, as ever, no-one down south is remotely interested in what's happening with the weather 'up north'.

So I just thought I would let them know that it all turned out fine in the end ....................
