Small Pearl bordered Fritillary..

was making the most of the warmth and sun. Wasn't sure about the conditions on approach to the lochan,  so was pleased when the clouds lifted and it was sunny the whole time I was there. The surface was buzzing with Four spotted chasers, White faced darters and Large red damselflies. The Little Grebe appeared briefly with its young but soon hid. The trees were full of Willow Warblers, Chiffchaffs, Wrens and Chaffinches.
So nice to see the Fritillaries that I had to post one.
