a rare find...

i love old recipe books, especially when hand written. i love that old style of handwriting and all done by fountain pen.

it's exciting to look through someone else's collection of reipes and wonder about the person who wrote them down, and the times they lived in... this one has newspaper clips tucked in, dating from 1931.

two pages for Marrow Soup, starting whith the stock for it, but only two lines for 'Semolina Soup'... not sure i'd fancy either of those!
still, the 'War Cake' sounds quite promising...
