Sixteen Going On Seventeen

The Limelight Productions is proud to present The Sound Of Music in the Alhambra Theatre, Dunfermline, from 2nd-6th October. The Box Office can be reached on 01383 738822

Everyone knows the film, of course. This is the scene where Liesl (on the left, played by the beautiful Vicki Robertson), finds to her shock and amazement that Rolf has found something that is more interesting to him than she is. She runs in disbelief to her new mother, Maria (played by the beautiful Anne Kirsten Mackie).

Maria demonstrates her sensitivity by singing Liesl the same song that Rolf used to woo her, only she changes the words a bit. Impressed by how good her new mother is at comforting her, Liesl gives Maria a big hug and everyone is happy. Well, for a moment or two anyway, before the Nazis start coming along and making life rotten for everyone again.

This photograph also shows the disadvantages of using a wide aperture. I am pretty confident that Maria's right eyelash is in focus. The rest of the picture? Not so much.

Joking aside, this promises to be a great show, so if you are in the area please come along and have a great night out - especially if you can make the Thursday singalong night!
