Curlew

Or whaups, as they are known here.  Felt a lot better to day and up to a gentle walk with Ollie.  He's in the extras - displaced by a curlew!

I have never seen so many curlews about the place as this year, there seem to be lots of pairs nesting in the fields round about.  Amazing looking birds with that long bill and I love the sounds they make, their call is unmistakable.  Sat for ages watching a pair of them . . .
