Tarbert Harbour, Kintyre
Back blipping a series of photographs from a two week long trip to the west coast of Scotland. Even though I was born and lived in Glasgow for a good chunk of my childhood, this is an area of the UK I'd never visited.
The picture today is of Tarbert harbour at the northern end of the Kintyre Peninsula. A great little village with some interesting shops....and when we were there a great dose of midges. Cor - the wee blighters were biting the incomers and the natives. The funniest view was of a local smoking a cigarette while wearing a midge head net outside a pub. Shame I couldn't get a picture of him...but his mates were having a good laugh at his expense.
