I didn't sleep well, probably due to the heat, and was woken by thunder about 4.30. Plans for the day were changed because of the possibility of heavy showers in the morning. I even used the car to go to the local shops and came out of Tesco to find a bin lorry within inches of my rear bumper while trying to reverse down a one way street. I was able to move forward a little to help the driver. 

By 10 o'clock it was brightening and I decided to wash the car. After lunch I polished it. 

I wasn't going to have bothered with a blip for today but as my OH was making tea (bought pizza and salad) I popped into the garden for 5 minutes with the camera. I was taking photos of this flower when a greenfly crawled into view.
