Artists are out in force...

... around the grounds of Knaresborough Castle today. All were taking part in the SkyArts Landscape Artist of the Year 2017 competition.

There were two groups; the main contenders (as in the blip) were around the bowling green, clearly interpreting the scene before them. 

Whilst up to fifty more artists (see extras) were busily painting the view from the castle looking towards the River Nidd and its famous Viaduct. They were competing to win a Wildcard entry into the main contest.
