Pond and studio

Firstly, an apology as I've been very remiss with comments for a while. Thank you all who've continued to look at my journal and comment on the blips. Hopefully, normal service will resume shortly.

Continues to be very hot in Kent and more promised for tomorrow too. Was at the allotment this morning dealing with copious quantities of weeds especially around the onions and shallots. Went on to our secret cherry tree to pick a bag of fruit. The tree has had several barren years with little fruit, but this year it's laden with black cherries just like we remembered it some 7 or 8 years ago.

The afternoon was spent in the shade of the studio, completing the window frames and doors. Most of the outside is now completed, then it is on to the inside. Taking quite a time to paint everything twice. The rough edges to some of the wood making it difficult to apply paint at times.

Susan's mum was with us for lunch and dinner as she recovers from a mystery illness which doesn't seem to be showing much signs of improvement. At least we can keep an eye on her and make sure she's well fed and watered. The week on the boat provided plenty of blip opportunities but I've been struggling since we returned. Today's blip shows you the pond almost  two years after completion with a view of the studio in the background.

There was just enough time late in the evening for a brisk walk in cooler conditions around Mote Park which made a pleasant end to the day
