The Moon & Venus

A grand sight to greet me this morning as I went to the gate to pick up my newspaper. And a nice way to celebrate the Winter Solstice.

After a colourful start (see extra shot) there was heavy cloud until late afternoon, when the sun dipped below the nor’west arch. All my washing dried.
