Unknown plant

On another warm sunny day, we went to see some of the open gardens at Kilry. There were more gardens than we had time to visit. The ones we saw were excellent; clearly a huge effort had been made to show them at their best; and most of this small scattered community seemed to be involved in selling tickets and teas, or directing visitors.

Can anyone identify the plant for me?
