Wonderful day!

Another hot day 37 degrees! We decided to head for the river. We ended up at Limeuil, a beautiful village where the Dordogne and Vezere river meet. It was so hot that we sat in the shade of the trees with our chairs actually in the river as did other folk. After a snooze we actually lay in the river as it was a lovely temperature. We did have our bathers! It was a very strong current so we didn't swim but others did, some with their dogs. A guy came along and just beside us dug into the bank and was panning for gold! It was interesting to watch and he showed us gold dust amongst the grit. I think we'll go back tomorrow with a seive!
