Diary of an Edinburgher

Beach weather (for Archie)

JR hit the ground running this morning, and hasn't stopped all day. Well, until she was forced to sit and listen to her audiobook when she took the car in for a service in the afternoon and had to wait for it. She had to just stay there and wait for it because the car yard is in the middle of nowhere (I exaggerate only slightly).

First she took the dog out, then went off to the gym, then off to clean our friend's Air B&B flat, then back for a quick change, grab a sandwich, and off again to the car service. She hasn't sat down since she came home - ironing and household jobs that I (conveniently) don't really see. Phew. Jings - I might need to increase her pay...

Archie also has had a busy day. Annemique is back from her travels, looking for a (proper) job and a summer job, but had a spare day. And a car! So she took Archie to Cramond (her photo). He's gently snoring on my lap, tired out, as we speak.

I have had a very busy leisurely day. After a routine blood test (where the nurse came running out after me to do it again - she'd used the 'wrong tubes'), a few light chores - hanging washing out, emptying rubbish - doing my sofa exercises while watching tennis. Oops, Andy - that wasn't supposed to happen. But well done to the young Aussie chap, what a splendid day for him. Actually, I do like to see the unknowns doing well.
