Female Red Deer

Had an early walk in the park today, 7.30am, trying to beat the heat. Found this deer browsing on bramble. Didn't like to get too close as she was on her own and probably had a young in the undergrowth nearby. They can be very protective at this time of year. In spite of my efforts to avoid the heat the dog still wanted her walk in the park after lunch.
