Painted Heat
Not me on the bike.
It was really hot here again.
And we had a bit of pressure on at work. Most days have pressure, but we're gearing up to an implementation weekend and suddenly all the things the developers have done but not documented are starting to bite. Someone changed something but didn't tell everyone and now our internal audit says "We can't implement that, things are out of sync".
This means that people phone me. They're panicked and they always hate my explanations. Because there is no easy solution. I do not have a magic way to make all these things disappear.
And to make things more interesting, one of our external sun screens collapsed today. Apparently the sun melted the glue that was binding one end. That meant that half our office had no protection from the sun which sent temperatures soaring into very uncomfortable heights.
We told our office management service about it, so they dispatched a man to tell us that "No, they couldn't fix that" and left us with the impression that it would probably be fixed when it isn't quite so hot and they can just glue the end up again...
Anyway, enough about that. If you look at this in large I think there is something quite impressionistic about the shimmering heat.
