A very early start to get back from London. Always difficult to leave TM.

When I got back to the office, the flags were lowered and I wasn't sure if it was for the victims of the Grenfell Tower inferno or the Finsbury Park Mosque attack.

In the past four months the UK has suffered the Westminster attack, the Manchester Bombing, the London Bridge attack, the Grenfell Tower blaze and now an attack on a mosque in north London. I think any government would struggle to deal with this series of events. That said, the largest number of deaths will be the Grenfell Tower, larger than all the other attacks combined - possibly the only one that was preventable.

Other countries may have called for a state of emergency by now. Brits really do just keep calm and carry on.
