The Peonies are in Bloom

Dear Diary,

I will leave in a few hours for a trip down to Massachusetts.  Last night a severe storm rolled through but the worse of it went north so my peonies, which are just starting to bloom, were spared.  I thought I would get one photograph of them as they don't last very long and I do love them.  The scent will fill a room.  I look forward to them every year and this year they are a bit late.

My little ones will not be happy that I am going but I will be back on Thursday night so they won't have long to wait.  Emerson is already at his "holiday camp" and it was so good to see how comfortable he is there.  It makes leaving him a bit easier.

I may be sporadic in my commenting for a bit but I will check out your journals everyday!
