Petal Power in Dunblane

Popped out to see my mum and dad this afternoon in Dunblane. I'm glad they live on the outskirts - it was hard enough getting through the traffic there - cars parked all the way to the motorway. I wondered what was happening at first, then remembered Andy Murray was in town for his victory parade.

I couldn't be arsed to go into town and see him myself, but it was good to see that so many people could - well deserved .. the lad's worked hard and had a great year. Sports Personality of the Year will be spoilt for choice. I'd vote for Wiggo if I could be bothered to pick up the phone, but I reckon Andy's in with a shout. Let's hope he's on a roll and keeps winning the big ones next year.

Anyway, calm, showery overcast conditions meant it was ideal for flower macros, so I had a fun half hour in my mum and dad's garden - an oasis of calm in this small city, mobbed for the day.
