Visiting Fiona and Zina
Helena's cousin Fiona popped in to see us a few days ago as she was in our neck of the woods at tea-time. She mentioned that she had an exhibition of her paintings at The Montpellier Gallery in Cheltenham so we went to see it today at lunchtime.
The official preview was on Friday evening and more than two hundred people attended, which seems promising. Fiona arrived after we had been there for a short while and had brought her daughter Zina with her.
We had a quick chat with Fiona, but she was quite busy with other visitors, so we prepared toe leave after signing the visitors book. I took a few photos of the paintings in the interesting gallery space on a first floor of a Georgian shop with a curved wall following the shape of the road it was built on in Montpellier. Zina seemed a bit bored and I tried to take a photograph of her, but she was constantly on the move around the gallery. I like this snap best, although it isn't very well framed and is rather soft. I can really see her mother's likeness in her face.
