Paray le Monial

We visited the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Payray le Monial this morning.  The Church was first built by the Romans and various bits added during the 12th and 17th century.  It was cool in the Church and the beautiful cloister gardens but we found the heat and light reflected from the stone buildings rather overpowering.  We would have liked to have spent more time exploring but it has been a constant 35degrees since about 11 a.m. and we have taken to sheltering under the trees with a supply of cold drinks at hand.  Unfortunately my laptop doesn't like the heat and isn't performing well.  We see that there is a heat wave at home too and hope that you are either enjoying it or being able to keep cool!
