The view from our lunch table today.

To be more precise, the view from our picnic blanket today. Decided to head for Erddig with the dog and a picnic today only to get caught up in traffic just outside Oswestry.

A quick re-think took us to Chirk Castle, a place we have walked around - as in many of the footpaths - but in 27 years living here, we have never visited. This was where we had our lunch.

To be fair, we have still not visited the castle as it was far too hot to leave Moss in the car, so we just walked, had coffee and ice cream.

Then home for a BBQ with the daughters and a face-time with son & family in Oxford.

A nice Father's Day with lots of happy memories. :)
