The Barbecue Was Yesterday

Herein lies a tale.

Hubby is still in Singapore. He spoke to us yesterday morning to tell us that even though he hadn't got back home in time for his karate club barbecue Daughter and I were still welcome to go along. He told us that it was taking place today though he didn't know at what time.

So, after breakfast I made some karate / ninja cookies that I thought the kids would like and Daughter said she would attempt to decorate them even though we didn't have the correct tools. While she was decorating I nipped to the Deli to get some provisions to take with us.

Luckily I did because I met one of the karate club members. I asked her if she was going to the barbecue later and she looked at me blankly. I knew something was amiss. She advised that she had been there yesterday. Yep, Hubby got it wrong. THE BARBECUE WAS YESTERDAY.

I could only laugh. Isn't the first time he has got dates / times mixed up. Probably won't be the last.
