Beware of The Chair!

As usual when setting up a photo in front of people, I get in a fluster and miss the obvious obstruction like a stonking great chair in front of everybody.
A super day which involved shopping with Poppy, a bit of garden lazing and pre-party drinks at ours (mine?). Here are the motley crew preparing for a night of fun and frivolity at Julia and Liz's 50th birthday party.
It was a huge do, with most of the village turning out. A good band (not as good as The Accelerants, obvs) and a lovely setting up at The Windmill. They couldn't have asked for better weather and it was so nice being able to sit outside with our picnic and listen to the music and watch all the children charging about.
Let's hope the same weather gods are smiling on us on July 22nd.
