Now only 5,994 hoverfly species to go :-)

This fellow was much more wary of me and my camera than the previous ones that I have blipped. This was as close as I would get without it flying off. I tried several times - luckily the daisies were irresistible to it!

The stripes on the upper half of the body stand out. A lot of yellow pollen on the legs.
