Horse Terrace Bridge
It was a lovely warm day today, so we decided to take the opportunity to get off the farm for about an hour after lunch. We headed up the valley, until we came to Horse Terrace Bridge. This bridge was built in 1923, and allows traffic to travel right up to the top of the Valley, up to the Glenroy, and over the Mariua Saddle. The rock formations below this bridge are amazing, and along with the lovely green water flowing between these rocks, makes it spectular scenery. Unfortunately I couldn't get a picture of the bridge and water together, as it was difficult to actually get down to the river.
Many thanks for all your lovely comments after posting yesterday's blip. It was good to get away from the farm today, albeit for an hour - it was nice to see something else other than cows and calves.
