back porch
Water dripped from the outside tap. When I disassembled the tap, the pipe turned as well as the tap. I replaced the rubber washer in the tap. And I opened the water valve anyway. At first no sign that the water pipe was broken. But after I rotated the tap, I heard water flowing in the porch wall. I closed the water shut off valve, opened the wall and saw that the coupling had come apart. Fortunately I had lowered our water pressure many years ago when my father recommended it. Less pressure meant slower flooding in the house if a pipe breaks. Now I will solder the pipe together again.
