Katrina and the Waves
We cycled out to meet our friend Katriona and her husband and their three friends. It was dark and threatening but dry. We walked along Scarista Beach, again stunningly beautiful with silver blond sand, turquoise water and dancing waves. The wind whipped up and we got caught in a downpour rather inadequately clad in cycling gear.
They took us to a wonderful little cafe and we gently steamed dry, then K took us to her cousin's Butty Bus on the harbour at Leverburgh, where we had delicious Cullen Skink fish soup. Well recommended if you should ever find yourself there.
We went back to our motorhome and sat reading and drying off for the rest of the day, hardly daring to stick our noses outside because of the driving wind and rain.
