Having The Time Of Our Lives

I hung out with gorgeous Cooper and 8 others at Six Flags today, for pride weekend. Got to ride all the good rides, see a few of my favorite former coworkers, and generally enjoy spending time with my awesome friends.

Analyzing this picture, it's low-res cell phone quality, only a 50 kb file, and the lighting is off, but it's the subject that matters. I need to remember that; I could find an obsession in cameras and lenses and equipment and editing software and classes, and it would turn out some beautiful shots, but the gear and skills I have now is enough to capture these meaningful moments.

Half the time I feel like this hobby is just another something to do with my life, but I know a few years from now when I look back at shots like this one, I will feel the joy that I felt today and I will remember that the purpose of my photography is so personal and important to me.
