In a grump
I was not planning to blip a flower tonight. These peony roses are past their best but their withered look appealed. I thought I would have some lovely photo's of our cherished 928. Instead he is perched on an inspection ramp.
We had a lovely drive this morning into Perthshire to meet up with some friends for a fabulous lunch and catchup. On our return to Glasgow, Mr T commented that the car was misbehaving so we pulled off the motorway as the traffic was starting to get a bit slow and we didn't really want to be queueing if the car was going to have issues.
We continued on but upon reaching the outskirts of Glasgow we stopped in traffic and noticed that there was a significant amount of smoke billowing from us. We thought we were on fire so immediately stopped, got out and retrieved the fire extinguisher in readiness. Thankfully not required. Whilst Mr T contacted a recovery team I attempted to manage the traffic chaos which had arisen. Rush hour in Glasgow not ideal and there was a lot of tooting, sniggering and offers of assistance.
Very grateful to the recovery truck driver getting us off the road so quickly, to the drivers who were patient and courteous and to our friends for helping with Cooper. In the grand scheme of things we encountered very minor issues today and are thankful we still have a roof over our heads and family around us.
My mood will improve over the weekend and I look forward to watching and listening to some Le Mans coverage.
Thanks to BikerBear for hosting the Friday challenge.
