Shoreham beach

Mr U&L and my wedding anniversary today, so when I got home at lunchtime we went for a rare trip out together to Shoreham old fort.
It was so lovely there with a brisk breeze to cool us down.
Sadly I was a little late visiting this year, and most of the beautiful Valerian was already going over but the Sea kale  Crambe maritima was looking wonderful (see extra). Traditionally found on sandy and shingle beaches above the high tide mark Sea kale is one vegetable that is indigenous to the UK. Found around the south coast it flowers in June with white flowers followed by pale green 'pea-like' fruit.
Today's main shot however is the beautiful shingle beach front, with the even more amazing houses! - I would just love to live there.
