Old wreck

I've been a member at the Whoop Hall gym for God knows how many years. I only use it for swimming, primarily because of a fear of the cross-trainer. Thing is, it's only a 19 metre pool plus it's not that wide, so it doesn't take many other people to be in the pool before swimming lengths is entirely impractical. During the holidays, hotel guests use it, too, so it's practically impossible to find a quiet time.

However, the Minx has recently joined the David Lloyd place just outside Chorley, which has a wide 25m pool. Tempting. So, this evening, using one of the guest passes she kindly gave me, I went along to give it a try. Because STEPS we decided to walk there, going along the canal past Botany Bay.

This old timer was tethered up to the bank, awaiting, I hope, some renovation. Much like myself.
