Keep Up

Sometimes it's necessary to be taken for a run.

I've been taking Regan here out for a regular walk while his human has been laid up with a crook back. A little wary at first, I've won his confidence and he now eagerly awaits my knock at the door. He was particularly excited to see me today after having to wait until the evening. I should make it clear that it is actually he who takes me for a walk, or more like a run tonight, as he had so much stored-up energy. 

He knows exactly what route he wants to take, different every time, and digs his heels in hard if I try to take him anywhere he doesn't want to go, or any further than he wants to go. I had no idea dogs could be so stubborn and single-minded. And, for his size, the little fellow is incredibly strong. I let him have the lead. It was a day when I needed to be taken out for a little run.
