What struck my fancy

In recent weeks on my trips up the coast I thought I had spotted a red kite, the raptor's forked tail is quite distinctive and different from the fan shaped tail of the buzzard which we do often spot. Difficult though to observe and be sure of detail whilst driving.

This afternoon I was walking at Thornham, north Norfolk, and spotted this and luckily had the camera ready.

Info: Milvus milvus, up to 6 feet wingspan, eats carrion, worms and sometimes small mammals. Were hunted nearly to extinction but have been reintroduced in different parts of the UK.
