The Birth of a Dancing Girl
“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” - Friedrich Nietzsche.
One of the things I like best about summer is walking out into the yard in the morning to discover new blooms. I didn't have to go further than our front porch to spy this lovely little lady, for the fuschia plant sits on a table right outside the door.
We have about a half-dozen new Dancing Girls coming along right now, still attached to the plant. (Hooray, potential stars for future blip-adventures!) I enjoyed how this lovely little lady's pretty pink dress hadn't quite finished separating yet; it appeared to be in the shape of a heart.
And the way she had landed, her tiny, delicate feet were just barely touching the ground; feet made to hustle to the beat, every which way at once, moving and grooving. She was born ready to dance!
The soundtrack: Leif Garrett, with I Was Made for Dancin'.
