Evening Light

A slow start this morning.  Breakfast in bed followed by a gentle walk to the allotment in the sunshine.  Feeling a bit sore but remarkably well for my wee escapade yesterday.  Andy filled the watering can for me and I watered and picked the few blackcurrants which survived the sharp frost in May.  We also picked some spinach - most of it has bolted so I will pulll it up soon.  I've sowed some more so hopefully I will soon have some lovely fresh green leaves. 

Andy worked in the garden in the afternoon and we finally got the garden furniture out so we were able to sit outside in the sunshine and watch the flowers and birds.  A short walk across the heath in the evening brought a beautiful end to such a special day.  It is so nice to have some time together when we can both relax and enjoy being together.
