Pools and Reflections

It's official - The lake is the lowest level since records began 80 years ago, due to low rainfall!  The experts are hopeful that the snow melt and winter rain will rectify the situation.

I have had a day of walking today, 13,420 steps, which is 9.2 k's.  I am looking forward to an evening in front of the fire and TV, a perfect start to the weekend.

There was widespread flooding, throughout the North Island and as far south as Hokitika in the South Island, causing large stock losses, downed telegraph lines, and many slips blocking roads.

On a happier note, it was the year my parents got married.
