A day in the garden

Though it started with me trying to upgrade my old laptop and being failed by our useless internet connection. I must phone them tomorrow. It's usually very slow but at the moment it's dropping out as well.

Merv and I (well mainly Mervyn) have made good progress in trimming hedges and bushes. We wanted to wait until the blackbirds and wrens had fledged, so things had got a bit overgrown. I carried on weeding and trying to clear plants from the paths. Good progress today, even though I haven't finished.

And then around 5pm a phone all from Brian at the camera club who said he had rice for my drunken laptop, so I nipped round there for him to wrap the rice and lap atop pack. Apparently all will not be lost, well not the rice anyway as it's set to become rice wine and with a few red currants it will make a very passable ros
